Our Story
Norden SLS builds on a legacy of care that began over 20 years ago. In 2022, Shane Ulven, a licensed 245D provider, purchased the business after running an Adult Foster Care Family Residential Setting in northern Minnesota. Recognizing the potential to grow and serve more individuals, Mr. Ulven rebranded the company to Norden SLS, reflecting a broader mission to offer both Family Residential Services (FRS) and Integrated Community Supports (ICS).
Guided by the core value “We Value People,” Norden SLS ensures that residents, staff, and the greater community are supported at every level. Through Person-Centered Planning, we tailor services to meet each resident's individual needs, fostering independence and personal growth. Whether in the close-knit environment of our FRS homes or the independent living model of ICS settings, residents receive the right level of care to help them thrive.
As a member of ARRM, Norden SLS stays connected to industry best practices, ensuring high standards and meaningful service. Looking to the future, we are expanding into the St. Cloud, MN area with new ICS and Community Residential Services (CRS) locations, while staying true to the values and quality care that have been the foundation of our original FRS site. Mr. Ulven’s vision for Norden SLS is to create opportunities for growth while continuing to provide personalized care that makes a lasting impact.
